This Privacy Policy explains how Assure Mantra Venture & Consultancy Private Limited (“Claim Dost,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information relating to users (“you” or “your”) of www.claimdost.com (the “Site”) and the Claim Dost mobile application (the “Mobile Application”), and of the claim-consultancy and related insurance services we provide (together, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions. By accessing or using the Site, the Mobile Application, or the Service, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site, the Mobile Application, or the Service.
We process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to the extent it is in force and applicable to us.
2. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site and Mobile Application, through your interactions with our customer support, sales, and claim-consultancy teams, and through any other channel by which you provide information to us, including email, phone, SMS, and WhatsApp. It does not apply to information collected by any third party, including any insurer, payment processor, or service provider, which is instead governed by that third party's own privacy policy.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you use the Site or Mobile Application, register for an account, request a quote, purchase or renew a policy, lodge or pursue an insurance claim, or otherwise communicate with us, including:

identity and contact information, such as your name, date of birth, gender, address, email address, and phone number;

know-your-customer (KYC) and customer due-diligence information, such as government-issued identity and address proof, PAN, and bank account details, collected in accordance with Section 9 (Customer Due Diligence) of our Terms and Conditions;

insurance and financial information, such as details of your existing policies, sums insured, premium payment history, nominee details, and claim-related documentation (including medical, accident, or loss records relevant to a claim);

payment information, such as your bank account or card details, to the extent necessary to process a payment (payment card details are collected and processed by our payment gateway partners and are not stored by us in unencrypted form);

communications you send us, including service requests, complaints, feedback, and call or chat records; and
-
any other information you choose to submit through the Site or Mobile Application.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Site or Mobile Application, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

device information, such as device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information;

log and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and the date and time of your visit; and

The Site and Mobile Application use cookies, SDKs, and similar tracking technologies to recognise you across visits, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, understand how the Site and Mobile Application are used, and improve our Service. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings; however, disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of the Site or Mobile Application.
5. How We Use Your Information

represent you before an insurer under the mandate described in our Terms and Conditions, effect and service your insurance policy, and provide claim-consultancy services once you have engaged us as your claim consultant;

verify your identity and carry out KYC and customer due-diligence checks as required by applicable law or by an insurer;

process payments, renewals, and refunds, and send related reminders and confirmations;

communicate with you about your account, policy, or claim, including by phone, email, SMS, or WhatsApp;

send you promotional material and special offers relating to our Service, and share your details with our affiliates and partners for similar purposes, in each case as described in our Terms and Conditions and subject to the choices available to you under Section 10 below;

detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorised transactions, and other unlawful activity;

comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from courts, regulators, and government authorities; and

analyse usage of the Site and Mobile Application to improve their functionality, content, and user experience.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

insurers and insurance intermediaries, to the extent necessary to effect a policy, service it, or process a claim on your behalf;

our affiliates and business partners, for the purposes described in Section 1 of our Terms and Conditions, including so that they may contact you regarding relevant products, services, and offers;

service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, KYC verification, credit information checks, hosting, analytics, and customer support, who are permitted to use your information only to provide these services to us;

government authorities, regulators, and law-enforcement agencies, where required by applicable law, or in connection with the investigation, detection, or prevention of an offence, or a cybersecurity incident, as described in Section 11 of our Terms and Conditions; and

a successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
7. Data Security
We maintain reasonable security practices and procedures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, as described in Section 4 (Your Account) of our Terms and Conditions.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service to you, to comply with our legal, regulatory, accounting, and reporting obligations (including those arising under insurance and KYC regulations), to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Where information is no longer required for these purposes, we will delete it or render it anonymous, in accordance with applicable law.
9. Storage and Transfer of Information
Your information is primarily stored and processed in India. Where we or our service providers transfer information outside India, we take steps to ensure that it continues to be protected in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may:

request that we correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information;

request the deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and regulatory obligations to retain certain records;

Please note that opting out of promotional communications will not affect transactional or service-related communications, such as policy, claim, or payment updates, which we may continue to send you.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and is not available for use by, minors under the age of 18, consistent with Section 3 (Eligibility) of our Terms and Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site and Mobile Application may contain links to websites or resources operated by third parties, including insurers and payment gateways. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party websites or resources, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any information.
13. Electronic and Promotional Communications
By providing your contact details and using the Service, you consent to being contacted by Claim Dost, and by our affiliates and partners, by email, phone, SMS, and WhatsApp, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms and Conditions, including service communications, reminders, and promotional offers, as well as electronic communications more generally, in accordance with Section 14 (Electronic Communication) of our Terms and Conditions.

Your continued use of the Site, the Mobile Application, or the Service after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, consistent with Section 11 (Local Laws) and Section 21 (General) of our Terms and Conditions.
